Food and hygiene
Can nuts, milk powder and allergen-free ingredients share a pallet?
Make the decision through the allergen control plan. Damaged or open ingredients can contaminate other goods during handling, transport and storage. FSA guidance recommends separation, sealed identified containers and trained handling. Ordinary wrap is not proof that allergen cross-contact has been controlled.
What to check next
- Assess ingredient containment and segregation.
- Identify each product and quarantine spills or damaged packs.
