Chemicals and dangerous goods
Does buying a chemical pallet make a dangerous-goods shipment compliant?
No. Dangerous goods also require appropriate classification, packaging, marks, labels, documents and trained personnel under the rules for the transport mode. A pallet supports the load; it does not replace the required goods packaging or approvals.
What to check next
- Identify UN number and transport mode.
- Confirm the packing instructions with the dangerous-goods adviser.
