Chemicals and dangerous goods
Is an ESD pallet automatically safe around flammable liquids?
No. HSE requires ignition and electrostatic risks to be assessed in the actual dangerous-substances operation. An electronics ESD claim alone does not establish suitability for an explosive atmosphere or an adequate earthing arrangement.
What to check next
- Get the DSEAR assessment and zone requirements.
- Ask for evidence relevant to the intended hazardous environment.
