Traceability and changing rules
Do pallets of beer, wine or spirits need excise paperwork?
The alcohol’s duty status and movement determine this, not the pallet material. Duty-suspended movements commonly require EMCS records, with defined exceptions and simplified arrangements. Customs requirements can also apply. Agree the procedure with the approved producer or warehousekeeper before dispatch.
What to check next
- Confirm duty-paid or duty-suspended status.
- Match quantities and movement references to the loaded goods.
