Can damaged waste batteries use the same pallet arrangement as sound batteries?
Condition matters. Environment Agency guidance for permitted battery facilities requires procedures for identifying and managing damaged batteries. A stable pallet does not resolve short-circuit, leakage or thermal risks. Obtain a competent battery-specific storage and transport assessment before accepting the load.
