Does shrink-wrapping dangerous-goods packages create an overpack?
It can. An overpack can have its own marking and labelling requirements, especially where package marks become hidden. The carrier or dangerous-goods adviser must assess the finished load, not only the individual cartons before wrapping.
What to check next
- Show the adviser the final wrapped arrangement.
- Confirm required marks remain visible or are reproduced correctly.
