Medical and pharmaceutical pallets
What should a hospital check when receiving palletised medical equipment?
Check the equipment against its specification and delivery records, inspect packaging and the device for damage, and preserve relevant identity, instructions and storage information. MHRA guidance supports device-specific acceptance checks. A sound pallet and delivery signature alone are not acceptance evidence for the medical equipment.
What to check next
- Pass damage or missing instructions to the device-management team.
- Record serial or lot identifiers and any required validation before use.
