Medical and pharmaceutical pallets
Does dry ice change the palletised sample shipping requirements?
Yes. Refrigerants bring their own requirements as well as specimen packaging rules. DfT road guidance refers dry ice and liquid nitrogen users to ADR 5.5.3 and requires packaging to remain intact at refrigerant temperatures. Plan the complete package, coolant and journey with the carrier.
What to check next
- Declare the coolant and quantity to the carrier.
- Check current modal ventilation, marking and packaging instructions.
