Medical and pharmaceutical pallets
Can a returned pallet of medicines go straight back into saleable stock?
No automatic release follows from intact pallet wrap. The wholesaler must assess the returned medicines, their packaging and documented storage and transport history under its GDP procedure. Refrigerated returns need suitable temperature-controlled handling while that assessment is pending.
What to check next
- Identify and segregate the return.
- Give the authorised assessor the transport and storage evidence.
