Labels and receiving
Should we keep the same SSCC after breaking down and rebuilding a pallet?
GS1 guidance describes removing old logistics labels and allocating a new label when pallets are broken down and rebuilt. Keep the despatch data consistent with the new unit; a carrier label change alone should not replace an unchanged unit’s SSCC.
What to check next
- Remove misleading obsolete labels.
- Link the rebuilt unit to its actual contents.
