Does an ordinary haulier automatically qualify to collect hazardous palletised waste?
No. In England, hazardous-waste carriers must register, check the consignment and documentation, and deliver to an authorised destination. Transport capability and environmental authorisation are separate checks. Packaging waste onto a pallet does not change the type of waste the destination may accept.
What to check next
- Verify carrier registration.
- Confirm the destination is authorised for the classified waste.
