Is an aircraft pallet the same as a warehouse pallet?
No. An aircraft pallet and its compatible net form an aircraft Unit Load Device. It interfaces with the aircraft loading and restraint system and has airworthiness and serviceability requirements. A warehouse pallet may carry goods to an air-cargo terminal without being an aircraft ULD.
What to check next
- Ask the airline or handling agent about acceptance, build-up and restraint.
- Do not replace an approved ULD with a similar-sized ordinary pallet.
