Can I put granite or quartz worktop slabs on an ordinary pallet?
A pallet capacity alone does not establish safe slab handling. HSE identifies toppling and crushing risks with large stone sheets stored on edge. Use a suitably designed carrier and a competent handling plan that keeps people outside the fall zone; ordinary A-frames may need modification to prevent slipping or toppling.

- Keep slabs restrained throughout loading and unloading.
- Agree the receiver's lifting equipment and restraint-release sequence.
