Does a pallet make lithium-battery shipping compliant?
No. Battery type, configuration, condition and transport mode determine the dangerous-goods requirements. Palletising does not replace approved packaging, marks, documentation or carrier acceptance. Damaged or defective batteries require their own specialist assessment.
What to check next
- Give the trained dangerous-goods adviser the battery details and route.
- Check visibility of required marks when packages are grouped or wrapped.
