Does an ISPM 15 pallet cover machinery imports during Australia’s stink-bug season?
No. Australia applies separate seasonal BMSB measures to specified goods, origins and shipping dates. Machinery can fall within target high-risk tariff categories. The current guidance treats the UK as an emerging-risk country for random inspections; that is not identical to mandatory treatment from target-risk countries. Assess the goods, origin, transhipment and packing mode before dispatch.
What to check next
- Check the current DAFF seasonal page and commodity conditions.
- Determine whether break-bulk or container rules apply to this consignment.
