Can furniture or retail cartons overhang the pallet?
Avoid carton overhang: exposed edges are vulnerable during handling and unsupported cartons lose compression strength. DHL packing guidance explicitly rejects overhanging boxes. Select a footprint that supports the load, or agree a designed outsize packing solution with the carrier.
